A 39-year-old man will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates court on Monday after drugs, cash and a revolver were found in his flat in 6th avenue Newton Park.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the gun firearm belonged to a security company and was not reported stolen.
Mount Road police followed up on information about drugs and firearms in the suspect's flat and went to search it on Tuesday morning.
Police also found a small amount of cocaine, some mandrax tablets and R16 000 in cash.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged with the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as dealing and possession of drugs.
