Police in Dutywa in the Eastern Cape have arrested a 26 year old woman for alleged concealment of birth.Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, said the matter was reported to police by the woman's brother.
He said when the woman's brother noticed earlier this month that her stomach was flat he questioned his sister about her pregnancy.
Manatha saids when she could not provide satisfactory answers he reported the matter to Dutywa police.
He said police found the foetus in a pit toilet at the home of the suspect in Skwekeleni Location at Taleni Village at Dutywa.
The woman will appear in court on Wednesday on a charge of concealment of birth.
