Yesterday, 1 December 2016, members of the Grahamstown Task Team, comprising of Grahamstown K9 and Highway patrol, were conducting a vehicle check point on the N2 at Grahamstown. They stopped and searched a gold Toyota Corolla. 1.8 kgs of Rock cocaine was found in the engine compartment below the wipers.
The two suspects, aged 37 and 43, were arrested. The value of the drugs are estimated at R630 000-00. The suspects face charges of dealing in drugs as well as bribery. Both suspects will appear in the Grahamstown Magistrates Court shortly.
