In the Port Elizabeth High Court, murder accused Christopher Panayiotou's defence tried to expose inconsistencies in the state's evidence against him.
Last week the court heard that Panayiotou was leading a double life and cheating on his late wife Jayde.
It was claimed that Panayoitou would buy the silence of his alleged mistress's friend in order to use her as a cover.
