PORT ELIZABETH - WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY TRYING TO ABDUCT 3 YOUNG CHILDREN IN KWAZAKHELE

 Police have arrested a woman who allegedly abducted three children in New Brighton in the Eastern Cape.

The woman was attacked by residents today, after they saw her walking with the young children.

The suspect allegedly took the kids aged between five and eight, from their home in Kwazakhele yesterday.

The police’s Andre Beetge says officers had to intervene, as angry community members assaulted the woman.

“We managed to get the lady, with quite a fight from the community. The policemen put themselves in quite a lot of danger, even using their bodies as a shields against the community, in order to take the lady away from and the assault.”
