Police say no foul play is suspected in connection with the ill-health of the man who allegedly killed Jayde Panayiotou.
Yesterday, Sizwezakhe Vumazonke missed a pre-trial hearing because he’s in a coma at a Port Elizabeth hospital.
Vumazonke was hospitalised in August after falling ill while incarcerated at the St Albans Prison.
The police’s Mirinda Mills says, “The South African Police Service are not investigating the situation around his illness. We don’t suspect any foul play.”
Christopher Panayiotou is accused of hiring men to kill his wife, Jayde.
