SOUTH AFRICA - OSCAR PISTORIUS CASE JUDGE MASIPA'S CAR PETROL BOMBED

Wednesday was a tragedy day for the judge who presided over the much awaited Oscar Pistorius case. Judge Thokozile Masipa had a busy and nerve ending day in office, with the world on her shoulders looking at how she will sentence the former Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

After along trial, the judge passed a six year judgment for a murder case which normally attracts a minimum of 15 years – according to legal experts.

The judgment did not sit well in the rest of South Africans and Reeva sympathizers, including the ANCWL who described the sentence as an insult to the legal system.

Close sources reveal that Judge Masipa’s car was petrol bombed on her way home on Wednesday evening adjacent to her main gate.

“She is hospitalized but stable; she succumbed to abdomen burns and suffocation. This is tragedy; we all believe that it has something to do with the Pistorius case. As a family we have the Good Samaritan to thank, who was quick enough to pull her out of the car, she could have been burnt to death, said a family member.

The eyewitness who refused to be named in fear of victimization revealed that the perpetrators disappeared in a Toyota SUV vehicle.

“Two petrol bombs were thrown at Judge Masipa’s car, one hit her front and the other was thrown inside the car via an open passenger window. I was quick to react when I saw flames and smoke, though I was a distance, I managed to reach her on time, she had already passed out. The offenders disappeared from the scene in a black Toyota SUV,” he said.

Reports say paramedics took a bit longer to respond than their usual time, however the report was brushed off by paramedics spokesperson who claims that they reacted quickly when they were alerted.
