Police in Cradock arrested a 26-year-old male for rape. It is alleged that the victim, a 56-year-old female, was in her home in Lingelihle, Cradock on Monday 11 July 2016 at about 20:30 when the suspect entered the house.The victim was physically and sexually assaulted. Police were informed about the incident and the suspect was arrested shortly thereafter. He will be appearing in court tomorrow on a charge of rape.
