PORT ELIZABETH - GANG VIOLENCE CONTINUES TO PLAGUE THE NORTHERN AREAS ONCE MORE

Port Elizabeth police are investigating a murder case and two cases of attempted murder following three separate incidents in the Northern Areas.

Warrant officer Alwin Labans says two incidents took place in Bloemendal on Tuesday night.

In a gang-related shooting,  a 33 -year-old man was fatally wounded while walking in Drophy street at around 7pm.

Labans says a white Tazz approached the man and the occupants inside started shooting through a window hitting the victim in the arm, chest and left side of the body.

In another shooting, a 33 year-old woman and her brother in-law were at their house when a person known to them walked into the yard and started shooting.

The two ran into the house and no-one was injured.

In another gang-related shooting, three men were attacked while sitting outside a shop in Claire street, Korsten.

Several shots were fired, but no one was injured.
