NEW BRIGHTON - MAN STABBED TO DEATH IN "QUARREL OVER WINE"

Port Elizabeth - A 31-year-old murder suspect has handed himself over to the New Brighton Police station, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.

Constable Mncedi Mbombo said that is was alleged that the suspect stabbed to death a 42-year-old man over the weekend.

Mbombo said it was alleged that the two men were drinking at a shack in Chris Hani squatter camp when they started to quarrel over five litres of wine.

Mbombo said the 42-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and found outside the suspect’s shack which was burnt to the ground.

The suspect handed himself over to the police on Sunday.

Police are investigating a case of murder and arson.
