This weekend (8-10 July 2016) generated positive results for Operation Lockdown in Port Elizabeth's northern areas .
A most sought after suspect was arrested on Friday night (8 July 2016). The 21 year old suspect was arrested by the intervention team at a house in Stuurman Street, Bethelsdorp. A 9mm pistol, 33 x 9mm rounds, two cell phones and two SAPS bulletproof vests were confiscated.
The suspect is detained in connection with the murder of Aliyah Tee (12) in June 2016. Additional charges relating to the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of suspected stolen property, were added to the other charges. He will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrates’ tomorrow, Monday 11 July 2016.
