PORT ELIZABETH - GIRL BELIEVED TO BE "POSSESSED BY DEMONS" CHAINED INSIDE CHURCH

A 13-year old girl was chained to a Port Elizabeth church for two days by her mother, who believed the young teenager was possessed by demons, the Herald reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the teen was chained to the St John’s Church by her mother after she apparently tried to run away from it on Wednesday.

Concerned residents contacted the police who then rescued the girl.

The Herald reported the church leaders, a couple, are out of town and could not be reached for comment.
