The Kwandengane Task team members arrested one 37- year-old suspect in Gauteng at Sibanye Steal Water Shaft No 3 on 15 August 2019 for alleged murder and attempted murder.It is alleged that the suspects murdered a man from Dutyini Location Ntsimbini area, in Mbizana on 16 June 2018 while the deceased was with a local group (imbolazi) on their way to a traditional ceremony in that area, after they had some misunderstanding about something. One other victim was shot at during the shooting out.
The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
More arrests are expected in this case.
