UITENHAGE - ARMED SUSPECTS RANSACK WOMAN'S KWANOBUHLE HOME IN MIDNIGHT ROBBERY


Resolute efforts by members of the South African Police Service to effectively address trio crimes in the Uitenhage Cluster, will continue as SAPS Kwanobuhle members and detectives from the Operational Command Centre in Uitenhage have launched a search for suspects involved in a house robbery that occurred at about 00:45, this morning, Friday, 19 July 2019, in Dlala Street, Kwanobuhle.

It is alleged that two suspects (one had a firearm) entered the residence of the 52-year-old female and demanded cash. The suspects took cash, a Plasma TV, laptops and cellphones and fled the scene in a Nissan NP200 bakkie.  No one was injured during the robbery and the victim notified the police.

Police recovered the bakkie soon afterwards that was allegedly used during the commission of the house robbery. It was found abandoned next to the road in the Rooihoogte area, Uitenhage, at about 01:30. The suspects already fled and the vehicle was handed in to be processed by our Forensic experts.
