Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, says 40-year-old woman using a so-called Jikileza taxi to Motherwell was allegedly raped by the driver.The driver diverted from the route into Markman under pretences that he had to pick up other passengers too. He then drove into bushes close by and raped her at knifepoint.
Beetge says she managed to run to a business nearby after the driver left her there.
