During the early hours of Wednesday, 15 May 2019 at about 01:15, the complainant (29) was sleeping when his girlfriend woke up after a loud banging on the door.She went to the front door and a suspect demanded that she open the door so that he could buy cigarettes. The complainant came to the door and informed the suspect to leave but he kept on demanding to come in to buy cigarettes.
When the complainant opened the door, the three suspects forced their way into the house. The suspect took two pairs of tekkies, soccer jacket, a few packets of cigarettes and a small amount of cash.
The suspects are known to the complainant and just after 09:00 on Wednesday, 15 May 2019, three suspects were arrested. The stolen property is not yet recovered but the investigation is still ongoing. The incident took place in Virgo Street in Helenvale.
