
Mid-month data shows an under-recovery of around 55 cents per litre of petrol, while diesel shows an over-recovery of around 5 cents.
If this trend continues, 95 octane petrol could increase by 55c with 93 grade petrol rising by 54c a litre.
The key driver behind the expected hike is the rising cost of international petroleum, which South Africa imports.
