Justin Erasmus, NSRI Port Elizabeth deputy station commander, said:

At 14h56, Saturday, 27th April, NSRI Port Elizabeth duty crew were activated and the sea rescue craft Spirit of Toft was launched to assist 2 fishermen on their ski-boat reporting equipment failure to their GPS and in dense fog unable to navigate to a safe harbour.

On arrival on the scene, just past Cape Recife, we found them safe and we escorted them to the Port of Port Elizabeth without incident.
