Police in Thornhill are investigating a case of housebreaking and theft after three suspects broke into the Crossway's Restaurant in Thornhill on Monday.
Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the suspects broke in twice in a space of just two hours.
She says the first attempt was just after 9 pm at the restaurant and office where the men stole two bottles of whiskey and cash.
Swart says suspects then returned at about 11 pm but were chased away by security.
One of the three men was reportedly armed but this could not be confirmed by SAPS.
No arrests have been made.
