Police in Addo are investigating an inquest following the death of a 10-year-old boy after allegedly drowning in a canal in Addo.Community members discovered school clothing and a school bag next to the canal today, 5 March 2019 and reported it to the SAPS. A search was conducted and the body of the 10-year-old was found inside the canal about 2km from where the uniform was found.
It is alleged that the child went for a swim after school yesterday, 4 March 2019 and never returned home. The parents came to the SAPS today, 5 March 2019, to report him missing and a search was launched. SAPS divers recovered the body of the child at 10:00 today, 5 March 2019.
