Fuel prices are expected to fall by between 10 and 24 cents a litre this month.
The Energy Department says prices will fall at midnight on Tuesday night next week.
The price of 95 octane petrol will fall by 24 cents to R13.30 per litre in Gauteng, while diesel will go down by 10.50 cents to R11.50 a litre.
The AA correctly predicted the 24-cent drop last week, citing an increase in global oil stocks and a stronger rand for most of March.
The rand has fallen sharply since the markets were shaken by Thursday night's cabinet reshuffle, but the effect of this on the fuel price will not be felt until next month.
