On Wednesday 30 November 2016, the stations of Motherwell Cluster conducted a roadblock on the incoming N2 freeway towards Nelson Mandela Bay as part of the #Back2Basics#SaferFestiveSeason operations.
The Department of Home Affairs and NMB Metro Traffic assisted with the roadblock. Five suspected illegal immigrants were detained by Home Affairs officials and traffic fines to value of almost R4 000-00 were issued.
