GRAHAMSTOWN - POLICE MAKE R1 MILLION DAGGA DRUG BUST EN ROUTE TO PORT ELIZABETH

Last night at approximately 18:30 members of the Grahamstown Highway Patrol were conducting a vehicle check point on the N2. They stopped an Opel Corsa bakkie that was travelling from Mthatha towards Port Elizabeth.

Upon searching the bakkie which had two male occupants aged 24 and 35, they discovered compressed dagga packed in huge bags stacked in the back of the vehicle and behind the seats. A total of 23 bags with a street value of approximately R1 Million were seized.

The suspects who face a charge of possession of dagga will appear in the Grahamstown Magistrates court soon.
