Voting in the local government elections will start at 7am on August 3 and voting stations must remain open until 7pm.
The voting times were announced by the Independent Electoral Commission in a notice in a recent government gazette.
The Constitutional Court ruling on Tuesday allows the election to continue despite the fact that the IEC does not have recorded addresses for all of the voters on the roll and lost its case in court. The court suspended its order allowing the elections to go ahead.
The IEC has until 2018 to rectify the voters’ roll and ensure all voters registered from 2003 have addresses registered.
