PORT ELIZABETH - 2 INJURED IN WAREHOUSE EXPLOSION WHILE DRYING PERLEMOEN

Two people have been seriously injured following a warehouse explosion in Lindsay road, in Port Elizabeth on Monday morning.

Police Captain Johan Rheeder, says the the pair were using the building to dry perlemoen.

Rheeder says police are investigating  but it has been determined that the explosion was caused by a gas leak.

The two suspects are still in hospital and are likely to be charged with the illegal possession of perlemoen at a later stage.
