BARKLEY-EAST - 6 DEAD AND 2 CRITICAL AFTER HEAD-ON COLLISION

At least six people have been killed and two others critically injured in a head-on collision on the R-58 between Lady Grey and Barkley-East in the Eastern Cape.

Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the accident happened at around 4pm on Saturday afternoon, when two cars collided head-on.

He says three men and three women were killed instantly, while two children were rushed to a hospital in Barkley-East in a critical condition.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
